CHARACTERISTICS
|
-
This
is a unique formulation of polyalkylene glycol-water based
& water soluble quenchant.
-
It
is used as an aqueous solution of
liquid organic polymer and
corrosion inhibitors, & diluted upto a working
concentration, prior application.
|
|
SALIENT
FEATURES
|
-
Minimizes
the residual stresses, and therefore distortion levels,
produced during the quenching phase of the thermal treatment
without sacrifice of the mechanical properties.
-
Eliminates
fire risks & water contamination as being itself an
aqueous solution.
-
Eliminates
smoke & soot unlike oil quenchants, thus causing a cleaner
working, and easier maintenance.
-
Optimum
quenching conditions for specific material or component can be
controlled by its concentration, bath temperature, and/or
agitation.
-
Minimizes
the residual stress, distortion and soft spotting associated
with water quenching.
-
Allows
components to be clean and ready for further processing.
-
Reduced
Drag-out losses as compared to oil.
-
No
degreasing is required.
-
Fully
soluble in water and can be mixed easily to the reqd.
operating concentration.
-
Anti-corrosive
in nature.

APPLICATIONS
|
-
Ferrous
and Non Ferrous Heat Treatments.
-
Heat
treatment for aluminium alloys, in either the cast, forged or
wrought form.
-
Induction
and Surface Heat Treatment of components such as Gears, Crank
Shafts, Camshafts and other items of variable geometry and
steel composition.
-
Quenching
of a wide variety of component size / chemistry combination
from shaker, pit or continuous furnaces, employing either
oxidizing or protective atmospheres.
